In The Upcoming Months

July 14th, 2010

So, it looks like it’s going to be a busy Fall for me. My first novel will be released, I’m lining up some book signings, school will start, I’ll attend the New Jersey Romance Writers’ of America Conference (which I high recommend), and my oldest daughter will want to audition for Nutcracker yet again.

Taking these factors into account, I’ve started thinking about what I want my blog to focus on in the upcoming months. Obviously, a lot of it will be about the process of what is happening and how my life is changing. But I think you’re going to see some highly opinionated commentary on writing as well. I’ve been writing consistently now for over a year and I’ve heard a lot of statements from others. Some have made me laugh out loud, others have made me want to prove people that they’re wrong (and I am), but a few have made me realize how undisciplined we’ve become as a society. (And I include myself in that statement.)

Some of the topics I plan to write on are:

Waiting for the release of Crush at Thomas Hall.

The funniest things I’ve been asked as a writer.

Is negativity inevitable in the literary world?

Excuses, my myself and others.

When do you give up on potential writers in your support group? (And no Stef, this does not mean you!)

Juggling the titles of Mom & Writer.

So my question for this week is: “What else would you like to see me write about?” If I use your topic idea, I’ll give you credit in that blog!
