Waiting …

Before I start this week’s post, I’d like to apologize for all strange posts and double e-mails that anyone received on Facebook or in their inbox. I’m trying to learn to do certain things with my website and technology and me aren’t always a great match.

Anyway, as most of you know, right now I’m doing the one thing this writer is terrible at: waiting. Those close to me keep asking the same question concerning the fall release of my first novel, Crush at Thomas Hall.

“Have you seen the cover art yet?”

The answer is “No.”

I don’t expect to see it for at least a month either. But I’ve got to tell you, it’s killing me. I have been able to envision every aspect of this novel from its conception, except for the cover. There are so many possible cover art possibilities I wouldn’t know where to begin. But waiting is starting to make me feel like a kid on a road trip. “Are we there yet? Are we there yet?”

I don’t envy Chalet Publishers’ graphics team. I couldn’t imagine coming up with the covers they have. Check out Chalet Publisher’s website to see them all. (My favorites are  A Spiral of Echoes and Noah’s Wife.) I’m sure they will come up with something fabulous.

But waiting for the cover art still has me wondering:

“Are we there yet?”

One Response to “Waiting …”

Waiting for the cover is sort of like waiting for delivery of a baby. You know it’s coming but it seems to take forever once you’re in labor. Keep us posted and let us know when the cover is ready for admiration.
